I think the assistant is a better character as the magician itself.
If you admit an advise;-) : I LOVE your drawing style, is just AMAZING, but your designs work better when you give importance to only one character. When you put more than one, it looses "power"... (for example. I would leave the assistant only) |

I agree with fragoso. That Freudian guy is cool, but the other chap needs to be front and center. There is also lots of swirly smokey designs, but they get printed :) and I want to know what's making the smoke. The image is too small. Great job.

jstumpenhorst on Dec 05 '06 i will get something up with more detail because the beard on the magician is my favorite. also, the swirls are coming from the assistants finger/magic wand. his finger actually grows out into a wand.

I think it's good to have both characters, because the way I see it, the whole point is that the magician himself is bigger and trying to attract the attention to himself, but the little assistant guy is the one actually doing the magic - hence the giant cloud, which is what draws the eye away from the magician.
