It's not really a stretch to say this reminds you of Strangers with Candy. I have that shirt and that's the first thing I thought when I saw this: a little girl taking something nice from childhood (an ice cream cone/balloon) from something others would tell her to be scared of. Good design, nonetheless.

I don't think it's very similar to "where the wild things are" at all. it's a monster. with eyes. and that's about it. I really like this design. I wish the girl had a slightly longer or maybe less puffy dress. I think either the whole thing should be a silhouette (minus the balloons maybe) or the girl should not be a silhouette.

not bad. and as for the people that think it looks like something else... well that's because it's a pretty common image. monster making friends with an innocent young kid (uhh.... Frankenstein anyone?) so dont be surprised if you see it a lot more in your life. i'm just happy it's not a damn penguin or butterfly or panda or something.
