you know? I'd actually prefer this without the balloon in place of his head at all! Then it'd be ace! The collar is a little bit wide too, just a bit... Great though, great idea.

you need the reflection on the balloon, but it needs to look smoother, plus the head looks like a rougher drawing than the body, the black outline is all even thickness on the body but round the neck & chin of the head its all over the place.

the balloon looks a bit of an odd shape. maybe have a different colour tie?

i agree with what morganian said about smoothing the reflection on the balloon and evening the thick-to-thin line ratio for the head and body. i also think the composition would be more interesting if his head was floating higher.

I agree with whoever said to not have the balloon at all, just a headless guy with his head as the balloon. I really like it! I give it a 4, with room to go to 5 if either the balloon is removed altogether, or if it's changed a little (fix the highlight and perhaps make the balloon not so thin in the neck - make it the same width as if it was a human head/neck).

I agree with the others about having no balloon head at all. You could also play with the expression on the face - perhaps forlornly looking back at it's body? Great work!

just want you to know that the lines on the body are all very crisp and clean, but the head, shiny spot, and balloon, are shakey and kind of messy. so the first thing that jumps to my mind is the body is not an original, but modified. not saying one way or another if it is, just putting my opinion out.
you should clean that up if you want more. |

I think the balloon head needs to have a string going down the shirt instead of the strange balloon neck. Other than that it's coo'.
