Are thumbwars really necessary?

Great illustration. I'd prefer bottom placement though.

clever idea but i'm not a huge fan of the graa and how it cuts off on the t. maybe thinkabout a more stylised way for it to end

OH MAN... This idea has HUGE potential to be awesome, but it needs work first!! 1) agree with ^, it needs to not have the blunt edge on the bottom, find a way to make it sit well on the shirt. 2) make the thumb a little more detailed - make the nail and the skin slightly diff. colors, and also give the nail the lighter-colored tip that it is supposed to have. (You only have 4 colors right now so you could add another, and you could also sacrifice a color in the background if you need to in order to make the thumb better - after all the thumb is the focus and the background doesn't need to be elaborate as long as it conveys the idea of a war scene). 3) finally, I would love it if there were 2 big thumbs in the foreground, facing off at each other, since that's how a "thumbwar" works!! But that's just my preference; one thumb would work too. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE resub this, I want to own it!!!!!!

PS I would recommend taking out the red, if you have to lose a color, because then the whole thing would have a more muted color scheme and more of a "war photography" feel to it.

such an amazing idea but not really great execution... background and stuff is nice... but grass and lower right corner seem like it can be done better

oh man, i love thumb war like no other....the execution of this (brilliant) idea isn't the greatest, though. something about the bright orange and red against the muted background really bugs me....and i agree, the thumb needs more detail. tweak this a bit, though, and it could well be a $5.

i think there's waaay too much going on in the background. i agree with Ihercher and think the colors aren't quite right.
how's about somebody do this same thumb war idea with a cowboy scene? or some other ninja-esque scene...
