About my design

This is my submission for the 'One Of These Days' competition. Its really the first idea that came to mind. I wanted it to link directly to the music and the thoughts i had when i first heard the tune. Please post some comments below and just in case... i dunno whether the 'polaroid' idea has been done b4 but i couldnt be bothered to look through the old designs and find out. I like the pictures idea, but the red blotch doesn't help.

Other than general layout technique, I don't think this is too similar to the aforementioned design "Are you in... or out?" I think this idea and design totally stands on its own. However, the red graphic (if it's supposed to be smoke, it needs to be tweaked to resemble smoke more closely) definitely gets overpowering, especially over the middle polaroid image. Cool, though!!!

you know... theres this change about how you can do 5 color subs now. take advantage of that to clear things up and resub. a different color scheme would definately change it up from bein like In or Out.

there's a subtlety or a connection completely missing in this design for me. graphically it's derivative, which isn't the end of the world. but the graphic sets a sort of noir standard, and then you have the smoke/vomit thing going on, and i have to say that i can't find my way into it no matter how hard i want to.

my advice is, find something to say that you think a lot of people would want to say to folks who will wear the shirt. you're maybe comsumed in your own symbolism, but this is not something that the buying public will wnat to show to passersbye....
