I feel that the little people on the bottom were necessary to show scale (as someone mentioned above) and to further allude to the fact that this is a forest and someone could go hiking through it. If this were actaully a shirt, most people probably wouldn't even notice the people because they're so small.

Regarding the pink color... I like pink trees. If you saw a pink tree in real life, you wouldn't say, "It should be orange." However, for the sake of the shirt, I know pink is a risky color (especially for manly men) and it could easily be changed. Anything to keep the masses happy!
