Rhyming slang is a popular, cool and constantly developing style of communication with its roots in old cockney London. It works by replacing words with short phrases that rhyme with them. It developed as a way of obscuring the meaning of sentences to those who do not understand, be it criminal use or creating a sense of community.



My design plays off the early body part phrases from the darker times of London. It's designed to look confusing until you understand, just like rhyming slang.



Here is a translation for anyone that needs it.

Boat Race = Face / Pants & Vest = Chest / Chalk Farms = Arms / Auntie Nellie = Belly / Bacon and Eggs = Legs
