 Wouldn't it be so much easier if animals took their own lives for our consumption?... or would that notch up the guilt factor when we fill up our plates with chops & sausage? This is inspired by The KLF, who took a real dead sheep to an awards ceremony in England with the note attached 'I died for you'. I've used 5 colours, which has allowed me some extra shading & the drop shadow. Hope you likey.

I think it would make more sense if it were a more popular animal that's universally eaten--like chicken or something. I mean, I don't know of that many people that eat lamb..I know people do, but I think it would be easier to understand if it were a different animal or something. But then again, sheep are so cute...:< I'm unsure.

Love the face of the poor little fella. I think your idea is great and the execution as well as the placement are perfect. As for being afraid of offending Christians - somebody always IS offended no matter what. Should we stop making t-shirts now? I'd buy it $5 :)

To the Christian thing, it actually might not offend Christians. In my opinion, it seems sort of like an inspirational image (for example, Jesus [the Lamb] dying for you). I like it alot. (I would give you money [?] but I haven't the faintest idea what I'm doing).

Before I read the comments I did think it was ment to be talking about Jesus dieing for us... This shirt can have many conotations... The one thing I think is interesting is that many people could wear this because someone who's against eating animals could wear it as a statement and people all for eating meat could wear it and with the religious conotation you have even more groups of people who could want it for whatever statement they are trying to make... interesting

it would work better if it was a pig or a cow. at least in the US, lamb isnt a very common meat (i'm greek american so it is common for me, but most people look at me sideways when i say i eat lamb) and no fast food restarants here serve lamb. also it would be great using cow because they die for their tasty meat and their leather hides! but i guess lambs are cuter than cows

I'm not keen on the placement - it would make me think about the other end of the rope being around my neck. Maybe I'm just weird.
But I wouldn't wear it anyway, cos lamb is yummy. I had a battered sausage the other day and realised it must be lamb (or associated 'meat'). I wasn't happy. |
