Anyway she just barged into my house .....it is 11pm here and I have never met her.

She was going on about getting her stuff that he had stolen from her, started grabbing random things.
Silly bitch tried to take the drawer bit out of my dish drawer!

I managed to stay calm, offered her a wine and a chat.... but she left (thank fuck)

Am laughing, buzzing off adrenalin (was ready to call cops) and a little bit scared! I have my kid and her friend sleeping down the hall!

Have been checking in when I can, but I miss all you crazy folk.

Thought I would post an art update.... this is some of what has been keeping me busy.

Been looking at a 'search & surveillance' bill being pushed thru parliament over here. Have used Nipper from Barraud's 'His master's voice' to play with ideas of privacy, big brother etc...
I would really appreciate some suggestions of artists to look at either artists who have a similar style (drawing, collage, tissue) or similar themes (privacy, big brother, power/control etc)

I still have heaps to do..... collaging 1.2m x 3m panels, so the reels will probably just end up being support work... will depend on how it all goes.

It started in Auckland at the triennial...... I was unimpressed with the art, but the op-shopping was great. Nights were mad.... what happened in rm 223 shall stay in 223!

Next we headed up to the Bay of Islands and hung out at Pompallier Mission for 4 days. We got to play with antique presses which was amazing. Very few people get to use them!

Caught a ferry across the bay and hung out at Waitangi for an afternoon, the whare runanga is stunning.

Then it was off down the coast for a bit of sailing on the Tucker Thompson. We spent the night on board and got drunk with the crew. I got pretty good at scrambling up the rigging (drunk) to leap to the pier for a cigarette.

So I am way behind on my thesis research essay thingy.... but the trip was worth it!
