Hello,

What methods of printing does threadless use to print it's shirts? I know at one time you could only do designs with up to 8 colors, but now there is no limit correct? What is the printing method used to create the imaginative multi colored shirts that I see being selected now? Thanks!

Hey guys,

I was wondering if someone might answer a question for me. I'm sure some of you have visited Logo Pond and seen the various logos. Most of the logos are displayed against colored backgrounds. Some of those backgrounds are a gradient. What I am wondering is how would a client use the colored background when putting the logo to use? Do they try and match the color to their website? I'm confused about displaying the logos against colored backgrounds and how the color is actually used by a client if at all.

Thanks :)

So for my new design I want to give it that funky glitter 70's shirt feel. The whole buger would have a glitter overlay. Is that possible to do here at Threadless? Also do I have too many colors :-/

Hi,

Recently I have noticed alot of spam type postings and just all around insulting post on artists' designs. There should be a function where these types of post should be flagged for removal. They are unfair to the people who are serious about the designs around here. People are looking for serious comments and critiques and are being TROLLED.

Thank you.

Hello ALL,

I am new to Threadless and recieved the following comments on my recent design submission:

**************

Hi, please don't leave links to this design on other designs, it's spam. People will be directed to this design automatically when they score. Thanks!

trombone on May 09 '09 I am actually fairly new to Threadless and
STOP SPAMMING!

agrimony on May 09 '09 listen to them. linking your crits is acceptable within the crits section, unfortunately it is considered bad etiquette to leave your links in designs up for scoring.

tracerbullet on May 10 '09 stop spamming.

Twenty_Seven on May 10 '09 You need to think of the comments on designs like the designer's email inbox or Facebook wall. It's a personal space that belongs to that designer and that design and is open to you in order to comment on that design.

The designer wants comments on their art, not advertisements for your art. Just the same as you expect email from your friends, not advertisements for various herbal enhancement products.

I'm sure you've found it frustrating getting all these comments on spamming, rather than comments on your design. Likewise, designers find it frustrating getting ads for other subs on their subs.

So please, stop doing it.

gumbolimbo on May 10 '09 it is considered bad etiquette to leave your links in designs up for scoring, and you risk getting a string of zeroes for it.

********************************
For the record I did not go into other submissions and just place a link to my design I left a comment as well as scored the submission before posting a link to mine.

So I ask why is it considered bad etiquette here if you are commenting and scoring the other design as well?

I noticed that designers who are new to Threadless get less comments and have lower scores even on good designs. At any given time there could be 100s of designs up. So how do you get the Threadless community to even look at your design. Is the only way to do this is to rely on the sporatic chance that your design will roll around during random scoring?
