There's so many small online indie clothing lines out there, I imagine someone on here has to run one...

I imagine the majority of these lines aren't bringing in any serious money, but it's still really fascinating to me. Guess I'm just wondering what peoples experiences with them were. I think it'd be awesome to have your own line, but I imagine it as more of a hobby. It would be really nice though if it wasn't out of reach for the hobby to at least make enough to pay for itself.

I see a lot of people on this site that ask about line quality or are suffering from poor line quality, so I thought I'd post this blog so I can quickly direct people to a very helpful source. This is a tutorial I found on GoMediaZine that drastically improved my line work (check out the difference in between V1 and V2 in my Watch Where You Sit critique), though I know I still have a long way to go. Also note that this tutorial uses ink and brush, but you could of course use anything as long as you get nice clean lines. A pigment liner is another good choice.

i was hoping to learn a bit more about the voting process here, as i can't find answers to all my questions on the site.

looking at other submissions, i'm assuming you don't have to use the threadless submission kit? also how to people make the sweet submissions with different pages for design and placement? think i'd like to do something like that. are you allowed to submit different color schemes? if so, how do they determine which to print?

about the voting process, in order to get selected does it depend on how many votes you get, the ratings you get, or both? just wondering because some sites are solely on the number of votes, and i don't like that because somebody with a bigger network could simply have more people vote for them. if number does count, then it would help to promote.

Well, as you could read from the 'all about me' section, I am an architecture graduate that's sick of the typical 40 hour week in a cubicle, and am branching out to fulfill my more creative / artistic side.

I'll be using this site as one of the means to do so. I'll obviously be submitting slogans and t-shirt designs, and will use this blog to keep anybody updated with projects going on.

Thanks for checking me out.
