I recently submitted this shirt and I noticed 50 people had given it a rating of 0. I'm confused by this. Would any of you rate this 0 and why? Even if you don't like the subject matter, it's not like the execution is terrible. Are there people on Threadless just voting 0 on everything?

Sure everyone that is a veteran knows that comments like "NICE!" "COOL!" "AWESOME!" "CUTE!" and "PRINT!" are all pretty much bullshit to avoid the uncomfortable subject of scoring a design poorly while simultaneously trying to get them to score your design highly. For newcomers who actually need real feedback however, this could be a bit confounding. Then you also have a few people running around scoring everything 5 and begging to be scored highly as well. This is beside the point though. My point is that this site is like a big circle jerk with no honesty in or benefit to the comments section aside from a few rare exceptions.

I was wondering if anyone could think of any solution to this problem. One idea I had was making the comments anonymous. This would allow people to actually speak their mind about a design without fear of retribution, and if people are going to score designs they should actually be going through the submissions anyway, not just scratching the backs of people that have scored them highly and left comments on their designs.]]> Wed, 09 Mar 2011 14:02:54 -0600 Sun, 20 Feb 2011 18:31:46 -0600
