After a quick hack, it's done - the Threadless size chart in centimeters may be found here, for the joy of Europeans and all other normal people in the world: http://mythreadless.info/size_chart_metric.

Original post was:

Inches, feet, yards, aaaaargh! Why can't you use the metric system? Seriously, Threadless should also have a metric size chart for non-imperial people like me.

It's Europe, we all speak French here!

This blog was originally about how shipping costs suddenly changed (and went up 50% for US orders and 70% for international orders) and how nobody noticed.

Yes, I know oil prices have gone up, and that would rise shipping costs. I know shipping costs might have been relatively steady for a while, and the shipping company might have made a decision to suddenly raise the prices. I'm not dumb (although I do like bold - and underline). The problem here is that nobody paid attention to it. If food (or even t-shirt) prices had gone up by 70%, we'd all be complaining.

But that's not the point, because the Aussies kidnapped my blog. And now they're shouting (coffee?) on me (I like coffee, by the way - good coffee, not Starbucks crap) - I also discovered that in Australia, people don't earn $522 a week if they don't work full-time - it might be hard living there, although shipping there is as cheap as shipping to Europe, if you buy on Threadless. Mas eu adoro vocês - sério.

Original blog is below:
Why did Threadless shipping became so expensive?

I live in the European Union (Portugal), and my first order (Jul 29 2008, 1 t-shirt, 5-10 days) shipping was priced at $8.90. I thought about buying one Thriftee but the 5-10 days shipping came out marked at $15 (yes, fifteen for one tee - almost 70% up in less than a month), and the 1-3 weeks shipping marked at $11.

Just for comparison, my second order (Aug 8 2008, 5 t-shirts, 5-10 days) shipping was priced at $15.50. Ordering one t-shirt now costs in shipping the same as ordering five t-shirts less than a month ago.

What the hell is going on? How can you guys expect me to continue buying when the shipping costs more than the tees?

And please don't tell me to put more t-shirts on the same package. As you might know, Europe has a 22€ (around $32) limit and if you buy more than that on a parcel you need to pay import duties (12% for clothing + VAT, which is 20%+12%=32% in Portugal).

When a t-shirt is sold out, you can rally for a reprint. And what about all those really neat designs that never got printed, why can't we rally for a print? Just a way for Threadless to know that we'd like stuff like this printed:

Even if Threadless wouldn't print it, the author (on this case, Glennz) would know that enough people would buy the t-shirt if it was printed.

Hi,

I've just launched a web application that allows you to browse the Threadless website in a different way (you can see immediately the prices and sizes available - and better, it shows all $5 t-shirts on the homepage). You can find it at http://mythreadless.heroku.com.

Feedback is highly appreciated. :)
