You are standing between two train tracks. To your left, five individuals are tied to the tracks. To your right, one person is tied to the tracks. You don't know any of the people.

Ahead of you, a magnet train is approaching at a hundred miles per hour, and you know you won't have time to untie all, or even a few people, before the train reaches you.

The only thing you can control is a lever in front of you that directs the train either right or left.

Now, I think there would be little debate about what you would do in this situation. Given the options I've laid out, I think the typical, rational person would move the lever to the right, saving the five people at the cost of one.

So now we move on.

Unluckily for you, the very next week you find yourself in another, strangely similar situation. While crossing a trolley bridge, you see five people tied to the tracks. The approaching trolley is moving too fast for you to jump down and save them, and you know it won't stop in time.
You look around for a way to save them, and you see it: a very large man, leaning over the rail, directly over the tracks. This man is so large, you're certain he would stop the train if only he fell.

So, what do you do? Watch the trolley take the five lives? Or push the man over the rail and save the five, at the cost of one?

So, an experimenter comes up to you and presents his proposal:

Allow me to torture you for 24 hours straight...the worst torture imaginable; physical and emotional pain of the highest magnitude.

But, after the torture, your memory of the past day is completely erased. Along with this, there are no other lasting effects of the event. No physical damage/no scars/no memories/etc.etc.

For participation in this experiment, you will get $1,000,000.

does anyone have any suggestions for a good type of marker to get? google images tells me prismacolor would probably get me what I want, but there are cheaper alternatives. do any of you use/suggest a cheaper alternative that would be just as useful?

kthanks:)

also the art store I'm a part of has prismacolors at 40% off, and then I get an extra 20% off because I'm a member...so the originally $200 set of 48 is around $110; the $100 set of 24 is like $50...etc.
a copic set of 12 is $60 there, originally $120:(
there are a lot of AD Marker sets of 25 (A-K...I guess they're different tones of similar colors?) that are now like $60.

yeah, I have 0 experience with any markers other than colorful sharpies and smelly markers, so any help is appreciated:)

I want to produce things to the effect of:

(thanks ffffound for the images!)

I know it has to do with style/use of shading/etc.etc. but I want markers that CAN produce that. sharpies/smelly markers cannot.

thanks!

so I'm trying to improve my lifestyle and, y'know, eat healthy. cutting out candy, fast food, lots-of-saturatedfat/sodium/sugar food items, etc.etc.
but it's REALLY expensive. half a week's worth of groceries was $90.

is it even possible to work with ~$120 a week, and get a healthy breakfast/lunch/dinner for 7 days?

I'm not thinking it is, haha. does anyone have any cheap meal recommendations?

the absolute cheapest dinner I've found is fat-free veggie burgers (4 for $2), with sun chips, on bread.
it's really the dinners that get expensive, so cheap dinners like that (not necessarily THAT cheap, but you know) would really be helpful.
