Hey friends.

I am currently helping a friend with her new small business. She was a producer at MTV for 12 years until she had her baby, and now no longer wants to work 18 hour days (go figure.)
I met her on the playground back when I was a nanny, and we've been friends for a year now.

ANYWAYS.
Her new business is filming short, informative videos for real estate agents to show their clients.

I have made three different websites to show elements of different styles she likes, and now she can't decide.

Can you pick your favorite? (none of the links work on the pages, these are just example sites to show layout, but mouse-over for css drop downs)

- Option 1: LA City Scape
-Option 2: Orange County Beach scene
- Option 3: Living Room Setting

thank you so so much for your time, I super appreciate your input!

disclaimer: I am not a professional/trained web designer. I know basic html and css, but I am not claiming to be some amazing dude at this, and I am doing this for free for a friend, so please don't just say "OMG THEY ALL SUCK"

I'm starting to get worried about the kids in America.

I have two interns, on separate days, and they have been helping me with an artist's inventory (I work at an art gallery.)

The Tuesday intern just graduated from a private ($20k a year) high school. I asked her to start taking notes and told her the different things we would be recording (titles, dimensions, etc). I looked over and she had written "tittle" and "demensions".

My Wednesday intern is going into her sophomore year of college. Today I told her to start filling in the information I would be calling out to her, and to record the inches in decimal points. The first thing I said was "height is 4 and three quarters" and she looked at me, totally confused and said "wait, how do you write that?" me "... ... '.75' " intern "oh, ok."

Is this normal? WTF is happening in these schools?

Hi guys!
I have a question, and you know the most about these sorts of things.

way back, 6 months ago, when i was a single lady I wanted to make a Disney story book inspired wedding guest book.

something like this

or that?

so I made this

and then, this week, I made a family scrapbook for my boss as his xmas gift since he loved my guest book so much (and because he's an even bigger disney fan than i am, believe it or not)

and i was thinking, would something like this sell on Etsy? for like, weddings, baby showers, etc?
i question this because i dont know if people would get the disney reference/ like them, and they would have to be pretty expensive ($75-100) for it to be cost effective.

thanks for your opinions!

remember thomas kinkade?

well, after decades of putting the bitch back in kitsch he's decided he needs a movie about how amazing he is.

and of course, Jared Padalecki from Supernatural is playing none other than Thomas Kinkade himself.

yeah, because he totally looks like that awkward mustached dude above. I'm sure thomas kinkade used to be 6'5 and ripped, and he just shrunk and got weird looking with age.

Apparently a random 18 foot fork showed up in Pasadena this week

"It turns out the fork is an elaborate - and expensive - birthday prank in honor of the 75th birthday of Bob Stane, founder of the Ice House comedy club, who now owns the Coffee Gallery Backstage in Altadena.

"Stane confirmed that his friends, in full Caltrans uniform complete with helmets and lights, dug the hole "in dead of night."
i love everything about this. especially the part where a group of men in their 70s install a giant fork while sporting fake uniforms
