This shirt... it's a great idea. I really want to like it. But there's a fatal flaw in the design that I'm a little astonished has not been brought up prior to this. When the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland disappears, only the grin remains. Not the whole face.

`All right,' said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

`Well! I've often seen a cat without a grin,' thought Alice; `but a grin without a cat! It's the most curious thing I ever saw in my life!'

Someone less grumpy than me might argue that this is a minor detail and not all that important. I'd counter that it's indicative of a culture that values vapid pop culture references over artistic literacy.

Go read Alice in Wonderland. It's an amazing piece of work. And it's a shame that Lewis Carroll's brilliant wordcraft is being slowly buried under a tide of simplified, sanitized drivel fed to the ignorant TV-watching masses.

Well, it was really only a matter of time. First there was Black Hole Escape, and now this. Threadless has made a wolf shirt.
