Hi All,

We're currently having a tee competition here in NZ. Nothing big, or up to Threadless standards but it is for a good cause and I need your help if possible? Basically the winning design gets printed and profits from the sales go to the purchase of a defibrillator for the local area.

To vote can you do the following

Email office@thistlehall.org.nz

And in the body you just have to list your three choices. My submissions are 30, 31 and 29

But please feel free to vote on which ever entries you prefer. You can see all submissions at http://www.facebook.com/#!/album.php?aid=331131&id=751338985&fbid=10150130937558986

Thanks for you time and help

Hi all,

Just a quick question. I drew a design which is going to be used for a major band in my country. They've sent me a contract and I was wondering what is ment when they say they "recieve full production rights for use of the design"

I'm happy for them to use it any way they want but could I still say post it on a forum to show others my work? I'm never planning on using it myself as the design is specific to their band.

Any advice? Or is it exactly as it says..

Hey there,

I'm just wondering a few things about this TechnoCRAFT challenge and how broad or limited we really are with our designs..

Is it purely something that gets printed and in some way we need to engage the consumer. Do people have ideas of how this can be done? Of course the obvious one for me is something they complete with a marker or pen, but does this have a short lifespan, or get VERY messy.

I'm just curious as to what other physical methods could be employed or could it just be the promotion of conversation. Something as simple as that. There's making stuff out of the tshirts, but personally I wouldn't want to destroy a good tee just to manipulate it into something else.

I know people who are thinking of things don't want to give too much away with their own ideas, I'm just curious as to what some of the possibilities are.

Anyone what to throw some ideas into the mix?

Hi All,

I'm looking for ideas in regards to the topic of this post and was wondering if anyone could throw some interesting suggestions at me.

So far i've got stuff like.. TVs, mobiles, games consoles, BIG blinging watches, fancy cars, Hummers, Big name shoes *cough* Nike, Reebok, Adidas *cough* General house hole appliances that only last a year or two before needing to be replaced. stuff like that.

I'm not knocking gadgets and stuff. I love it - although I don't even have a TV. But I sometimes get sick of modern appliances/gadgets. For example my washing machine died this week. Less that two years old, and it's apparently common with this model! What!?!?!

What happened to the days of stuff being made to last. I know it's all about money, but hey!

So there's my rant. So what things/object bug you?

Thanks for your time and opinions.

Hi All,

I have a general question i'm trying to get a feeling for... Basically, long story short.. I drew a design which also included a band name that I love.. they saw the design and liked it.. but I never heard back from them.. no problems. I loved the design so much but couldn't wear it with their name, so altered it. Same design with generic wording.

Then along came an clothing company from my contry who 'loved' it and to be honest I 'love' their company and what they put out. They're currently in the middle of some serious work but want to discuss options when they are back.. could be a couple of weeks.

In the meantime the franchising company for the band got in touch with me saying they really want to use the design.

My dilema is to do the best for myself. Does anyone know how this usually works and roughly (ball park) what I should be aiming for as i've never done this before.

Do you take a cut of whats sold, or sell them the design outright? If so, do I had it over for a six pack of beer and concert tickets or do I aim a little higher.

I know there's probably a HUGE amount of varibles, but any advice would be awesome.

Thanks guys and keep up the great work
