Dear Threadless friends, I seek your advice...

First off, hello! How are you! I miss you! :)

Some of you know that I have been dating this tall Norwegian guy for a while - he's an international student who just completed a degree in architecture at the same school I attend. He has no intent on staying in the US after he completes his minor in a year.

I graduate in a year as well. I'm generally a go-with-the-flow type of person, but I realized I should probably start planning this while I can. I've decided to relocate to either Norway or wherever he decides to go to grad school (Denmark or England). Having only lived in Portland my whole life, I don't even know where/how to start to go about this. My parents support my move, but want me to get married first (still trying to dodge that one).

Do you have experience with relocating to another city/state/country for a loved one, schooling, or work? Do you have any advice? The most I know is that I should secure a job at the location before I make the move.

Thank you,

Hello Threadless - remember me? I've missed you so.

I'm currently selling some screen prints posted over at flickr, for $15 and under. I'm even willing to bargain...lol! Shipping is an additional $2, but if you live in Portland we can just meet up. Paypal is the best payment option if you're out of Portland.
anyway - how are you, threadless? I've been absent from the blogs for way too long. I'm afraid I won't be going to Chicago this year, but you know I would love to be there! You all will have lots of fun ^^

Hi everyone,

I miss you all! What's new? Tell me what's going on in your life!

I've been having a busy term with school and work, thus my absence on threadless. I'm thinking about quitting my waitressing job and focusing on finding an internship.

I finally booked my ticket to Oslo (Norway). I'm leaving on December 13th and coming back on the 27th. I've never been to anywhere in Europe, so I'm pretty excited. and I get to experience a Norwegian Christmas! Whatever those are like. ;-)

I'm also getting my wisdom teeth taken out soon. Booo. :-(

What are your Thanksgiving/winter/whatever plans? How is life? Any subs I should score??

First of all, thanks to all the people involved in the bloggerraiser. I was very last minute on my decision to go to the meet up because of money issues, but thanks to the bloggerraiser I didn't have to dig into my savings account to pay for my flight.
You know how happy that made me?
THIS HAPPY.

I was so happy to reunite with old faces (Jeff, Anna, etc) and also meet new ones (Mike, Rolf, Alice, etc). I hadn't seen Josh in a while so it was nice being able to talk irl. I loved having frozen yogurt with Alice.

Band of Brothers, thanks for having me be an honorary bro. Alvin, you don't have to apologize to me any more. Although the "PRISCILLA" shout when I'm next to the other Priscilla was a little cruel.

A lot of people I met for the first time commented that I'm much smaller than they imagined. x)

This meet up made me INSPIRED. Seeing laserbread's presentation, everyone's sketchbooks, and talking about design has inspired me to think about designing for shirts again.

I am very disappointed that I made the puke list though. So very disappoint in myself. -.-

There is no goodbye, just "see you on the internet"
Love,

I'd like to hear people's thoughts on this subject.

I'm currently in a relationship with an international student from Norway. He's been going to college in Portland and plans to graduate from the same university I'm attending. He's moving back to Norway after graduating.
Our relationship is serious, and I've been learning Norwegian while considering the prospect of moving there.

My parents are very traditional, and don't understand why I'm interested in someone "not from our country/culture," no matter how nice he is.

Dad asked, "why do you like him?"
I replied, "He's nice..."
"Well, lots of people are nice."
"How else do I explain it? I like him. Why do you like mom? It's difficult to put into words isn't it?"
"That's different, because we're from the same country and culture."

They've recently started arguing with me about this because I'm planning on visiting Norway this December.

...

This makes me a little depressed. How do I convince them that this isn't the end of the world?

Hi everyone ^^

I'm re-designing the PSU international night event poster as a final project for my art 210 class. I'm pretty satisfied with how the photo turned out, but I'm having trouble adding in the information.

Here's my first brainstorming...

Here's what I have so far...hand drawing it was a little more frustrating than I thought so I went with digital text...

I definitely need to change the bottom "2010" and "night" but i'm not sure how. The top also looks...ehhh.

Can I ask for your opinion/critique/suggestion?

I'm printing it out tomorrow.

thank you!! ^^
