With this new Hot Hitz challenge and all, I'm pretty confused about what a "parody" is.
Parody is pretty easy to recognize in movies and songs and such, but with a lot of the designs in the challenge, its a bit difficult.

Many of them seem to be just a play on words (like doh'nut) or using a familiar character in a different situation (Like spiderman in the rain).

What I understand to be a parody is this:

http://www.threadless.com/product/2587/YMCK/tab,guys/style,shirt

It uses a different subject matter to reference something familiar; unlike the other submissions, it doesn't just simply put YMCA in a different situation (Like having bears do it or something).

Am I just really retarded and not understanding this parody concept correctly?
