Hokay... my sister will be turning 13 in about 2 weeks, and I want to fill a tote bag I got for her with some cool things and I just can't really come up with anything that would be applicable to becoming a teenager. What are some neat things that teenagers have/use. It's been awhile since I've been a teenager (well, not that long) and I thought I could get some creative advice here.
I know I sound stupid. I just wanted a few suggestions/ideas. Thankee!

So, um yeah... I wanted to talk, so this is some talking...

So, my senior year has begun. This is it! My last year as an undergrad. I'm super excited, but rather normally nervous about everything else. I have quite a bit on my plate this year. I am now the Art Editor of the MiddleWestern Voice (my school's art & literary journal). I am expecting great things to come in this year's issue. Last year was actually kinda lame, but then again, I was not the art editor then. Bwah ha ha! So, MWV will consume a great deal of my time this year. Yea.

I have decided to concentrate in Graphic Design. I find that I have a great eye for layout, design, and aesthetics. I can be quite a formalist with what I do, but occasionally I do some pretty crazy things. Anyways, with this decision, I am now taking advanced graphic design and visual communications. I know this sounds concieted, but I think that I have some of the best work in both of these classes (simply because most people leave the craft aspect of what we do in the gutter). I am jealous of some of the work done in my advanced graphic design class. One girl in there does amazing crazy 3-D looking stuff, but they were not exactly great designs to be used as logos though. Well, at least not traditional logos. I have a whole set of 10 logos, although some of them were made in haste and need a lot of work, but I think they are awesome though. We also made business cards with these logos, and again, not to sound egotistical, but mine work best for corporate use, although the other cards would be more eye catching. I like my crisp slick design compared to what I think is slightly ametureish looking designs.

In my vis com class, there are a bunch of idiot druggies that make this class awful. Some people really need to grow up. We've had 5/6 assignments so far. Our first was to take one letter and draw it about 100 different ways. I think mine turned out pretty awesome, but then again, I draw all sorts of letter forms for fun. Seriously. It was really nothing stellar or fantastic, but just an exercise in design/typography. Our current assignment is working with a grid system and making a word illustration. That'll be fun.

But the one thing I am most excited about it Across the Universe. I WANT TO SEE IT SO BADLY. It looks like an amazing movie filled to the brim with swarms of madly artistic swaying imagery and music. I am enamored with it even though I have only seen the few clips that are on the movie's web site. Hopefully I will be able to see it in the next few days. And hopefully my funds in my wallet will also magically reproduce rapidly by then. I am so excited. I am so enamored.

That is enough babble and flickering about for tonight. I will have to listen to more Beatles. I need my fix until I can see that movie!

I found threadless today... what the amazing find... I am filled with giggles and jubilation as I surf through the wonderment around me here. I have only skimmed the surface though, but I am looking forward, with great happiness, to what the future holds in the html. I have found a creative jumping board as well! Hoorah! Perhaps there will be artistic musing from me in the future, but as for now... this is it! Ciao!
