I like to score designs a lot. However, I keep seeing other scorers comment that they'd like to see the submissions in a different color. That's all well and good, except when some of the ladies on Threadless ask that the shirt colors be blue and pink, according to gender.

Ignore them! If you want to do a different gender / different color thing, please, for the love of all that is delicious and well-designed, don't do the blue and pink. I say this for several reasons:

1) Many girls don't particularly like the color pink or prefer blue (or plenty of other colors) to it. I personally will avoid buying pink shirts, regardless of design quality, because I dislike the color immensely. I have to admit that I'm probably a bit more extreme in my bias than most other users.

2) If you can make a shirt that looks good in colors that aren't obvious--i.e. a green shirt for girls and a yellow shirt for guys, if you must do gender-specific colors--that shows your good taste and creative thinking more than just going with the stereotypical sort of color choice. Seriously, pink and blue is overdone.

3) The color pink in general just doesn't look flattering on a lot of people. I do concede that blue is a color that most people look good in--heck, I have a lot of blue clothes, and I really like it.

Thanks for reading through this, whether or not you agree with what I'm saying. :)

Shocking!

I had to double-check that the shirt actually had a white background. The motion and illusion that there are more than 6 colors (including white) is, in the words of a friend, "pure awesome."

I submitted my first photo of a shirt to Threadless today! It's Nature's Balance. I hope the upload worked.

Edit: So it's natural / creme . Same thing; I don't normally wear shirts that are light-colored, but I'm excited about this one. Thanks for catching that, guys.

Re-edit: Well, I feel rather silly. Maybe I should go back to elementary school and learn the colors / how to read.

This shirt is awesome. I love the colors and animals and overall feeling. Now I'm just going to have to convince myself to shell out money I don't have to get it. xD

I suppose it looks a bit like an LSD trip. No matter. It's whimsical and just downright fantastic.

Now to get a job...

I bought an XL of this design for a friend, but when he wore it, he discovered that there was a hole in the shirt.
When he told me that he had a hole he wanted me to fix that was just a few inches from his heart, I thought he was trying to hit on me.
