I wish I had a photograph, since that would be more meaningful ... it looks like there's really no one still here from the last time I was on this site. But I know there's a relatively large Portland contingent among the Threadless faithful, and so for those of you here in the Rose City, I offer a treat.

I was over in Tigard the other other day, and taking the bus back (the #12 I believe) I saw this on a LDS church sign:

Benevolent Religions Fail.

Yeah, that's what the sign said. Not "God's coming, look busy" or "Jesus: He's in the book". No - "Benevolent religions fail". It's completely fascinated me since I've seen it. Either it's the cleverest vandalist ever, or it's the church itself, in which case it's either super scary or incredibly interesting.

Discuss.

I'm turning 31 tomorrow, making me approximately twice the age of the average person here, aka old. Or at least not particularly young. I'm comfortable with it, don't get me wrong, but it does sneak up on you a bit. To the grand total of four people on here that I know - hi. Been a while.

Oh well, at least it's a prime number.

Caley Thistle is relegated. Five years in the top flight. 190 matches. Now it's back to the lower leagues, and with finances as they are, it's going to be very lean times for the club.

Fans of other sports (except rugby, my mistake) have no idea what relegation is like - you don't just lose, you're kicked out of the league ... gutted. Absolutely gutted.

Stoked for this. And Moon. If you like science fiction, but not Baysplosions every three seconds, D9 should be just the thing. I have been told to see the short this is based on , Alive in Joburg, several times and haven't, and now I'm sort of glad, because I don't want to ruin the feature version for myself.

I recently ended a six month relationship with someone who was extremely nice and had a lot of great qualities, but who just had too many different goals and ideas and wants and needs that were totally incompatible with mine. I've never ended a relationship without plates being thrown -- is this normal? Shouldn't there be storming out and yelling and heavy drinking and all that?

I hold no ill will towards this girl, at all. But I have to say, in terms of drama and punch - worst. episode. ever.

I guess its a good thing that it was undramatic, as I hate drama ... it just seems a bit unnatural. Discuss, or ignore.
