Sight seeing in Los Angeles

So even though I've lived in Southern California for a while, I was wondering if some people can give me suggestions of historical places of interest, old bars, old restaurants, buildings with neat and or interesting architecture. I'm going to have some time off and want to wander the city armed with my camera. Places like the H.M.S Bounty or other bars that look or are out of Mad Men would be a double plus. I lurf the 60s. Thanks!! =D

Mummies! @ the CA Sci Center

I am going to the CA Science center to go see the Mummies of the World exhibit with my little brothers. I've had so much ickiness in my life lately that I'm even more uber excited than I'd normally be. Although, mummies!!!!!

I saw mummies last at the San Diego Natural History Museum and before that I saw the King Tut exhibit when it came to LA!!

*Super excited*

Anyone who's seen the exhibit care to comment on which part was their favorite?

I've also got imax tix and the audio tour.

So besides having two job interviews yesterday which went so swimmingly (i may have a job this time next week), i also went to the Burbank Kwik-e-mart. One of 11 in this nation (1 is in canadia). OMG i am a whore for the simpsons and bought a half dozen pink sprinkle donuts, a mr. burns bobble head, 3 pack of buzz cola, and a blue woohoo vanilla Squishee. i swear the squishee's are like crack in drink form, or i'd imagine so.

I've made two purchases so far. I just hope that nothing terribly spectacular comes out tomorrow. Watch them save the best for last...or Monday. I couldn't help but BUY when only 15 shirts were left in my size for Someday We'll Fly Away and only a few were left for Revenge of Sushi and Spoilt.

Of course i was in San Diego on Sunday right before the sale started. I was by the Hotel!!11 Also, I was wearing "I'm a noun!".
