so i did this last october and it really got me going on subs! since i'm in a funk i'm just going to force myself to do work!! my goal is to do 15 subs this month! since it's already the 5th i am really going to have to get going! join me if you dare!!

because i'm kind of lazy and haven't been working on a website i'm just starting a little blog to throw stuff up at. not really anything on there yet but hopefully i will be populating it with cool stuff every day! well, stuff at least. it might look familiar to some of you.

i injured my foot playing basketball and now i have to wear this boot. i've had it on for 2 weeks and i just found out i probably have to wear it for 2 more weeks!! yikes. it make me feel like i have some sort of robotic leg or something. except not as cool. and i'm definitely tired of everyone saying "guess you're getting too old for that stuff!"

yeah, that's it. i'm 28 going on 50. psssh. i'll be space jammin' it again before i know it!

or at least space layin' it up.

i think i just made a lame nerdy basketball type joke...

A Few Great SUBS!! (not my own)

here are 5 subs that i think are pretty great right now and a little reason as to why!!

Ray Frenden amazes us all with his fantastic skill as shown in his numerous tutorial-type videos. This shirt is just another great example of his otherworldly talent. Not only does this design look great but it is the only design i can think of that represents the community of Threadless without being cheesy and still having a very realistic chance of being printed.

This little design by Funkie Fresh is a prime example of simple design that works well. There seems to be a trend of wanting "more, more, more!!" on our shirts and i think that this design is a refreshing return to clean simple design.

Wow!! Another amazing design by MartinK. Fantastic colors, fantastic detail, fantastic shirt! Crazy and wild without seeming out of control like many of the current designs that are popping up.

I like what Abeadle has been doing in her subs lately. She is one of the artists who have been trying to experiment and see what they can accomplish through using different techniques for creating textures and coloring. What is great is that i would expect the subs to just keep getting better.

I've always like the work of Torakamikaze but his last 3 or 4 subs have been dynamite!! It seems like he has been experimenting with linework and texture through linework and has been getting some fantastic results. I think 2008 is going to be a good year for this fella!!

So those are 5 of my fav's right now. There are many other awesome subs by my usual favorite artists as well but i can't list them all!!! (Thomas Ray, Valorandvellum, rwr2, bisparulz, ladrones, slaterock, sonmi, apy, wotto, wandering bert, etc.... oh, and keep your eye on that martiandrivein character!! he keeps getting better....one of these days...omg!! how can i forget so many people!!! philip, jublin, space, ellsewere sp?, etc.... you can see why it's impossible to make a list!! damn!! but special sorry to phil!! there's no way i should've forgot you!!)

i screwed up my foot pretty bad and i've just been laying around on the couch for 2 days watching tv and playing video games. then this came on to break up the monotony!! perfect strangers forever!!
