OK, this was the big 2 p.m. (Midwest Time) thing I wrote about earlier. It's Layer Tennis. Two designers volley back and forth, adding an element to a starting design. Enter if you dare!...

I have an iPod nano and it froze on me this morning. You know how when you press the Menu, it slides to the left for the next screen? Well mine is sorta between one screen and the next. You can see a litte of the menu screen, and the next screen with the title of the song playing. And it won't move. Pressed the buttons, held the buttons, nothing. I can't even turn it off. Anyone have this problem?

Get up this morning, the wind is howling, it's raining AND snowing at the same time (see photo). It's cold, temperatures in the 30 and it's going to be that way again tomorrow (according to the weather report). I've lived here all my life and I will NEVER get used to it.
OK, my rant is over...

Just curious if anyone here has been to SXSW and NOT been a resident of Austin or a big-time music muckety-muck. I'm about 84 percent sure I'm going this year (It's next month) but from everything I've read, you probably should have one of those wristband thingy-s to get into the shows, and even then the first batch are sold only to Austin residents and the next batch go on sale long before I'll be getting there (they don't sell them through the mail or on-line... you have to be there in person).

Now, they do state that "a limited number of tickets are available" at each venue site right before the show starts. What I want to know is it worth my time to go down there and take a chance to get into some of the shows? They said that after industry execs with the special badges get in and THEN the local who bought wrist bands get in, THEN they will sell whatever tickets they have left. I know we might be able to get into some of the less popular shows, but is it mass chaos to try to see a show? Anyone been there without the special wristband and how hard was it to get into a show?

So, What's Your Super Power?

http://www.threadless.com/profile/359841/skafiend007/186902/So_What_s_Your_Super_Power

So I was a faithful "Heroes" fan during the first season, but since they moved it up against "24", well, sorry Hiro and gang, you lose... but the thing that struck me was that almost every one on the show has some sort of super power. So I'm wondering, what's your super power?

Mine? I have the uncanny ability to spot people I know walking down the street or in a store, etc., long before they see me. This comes in handy in so many ways: I can totally avoid them and duck out of the way, I have time to prepare my story for when we meet ("Oh, yeah, I WAS sick, but I felt better and by that time you were already gone, so I decided to come out and here I am!...") or I can use that time to try to remember their freakin' name.

So what's your "super power"? Parallel parking in the snow? Picking out which elevator will arrive first? Reading small print upside down?
