I am from New Zealand, and for any1 who knows New Zealand well will no that we love our local produce when it comes to music. we even have the whole month of may dedicated to it.
But I'm not such a big fan. in fact its only when i come across amazing NZ acts like Shapeshifter, Frankly Mauve, The Checks etc that i really speak out about them, and this is one of those moments

Now im not the biggest fan of rap or hip-hop cause I'm really an 'indie-rock' boy at heart, but a guy named Tommy Ill and his EP release called 'Toast and Tea Kettles' has really got me.

Tommy describes himself as the Freddy Mercury of Korean Cinema but then again thats really just a bizarre MySpace tag line to throw people off his underground hip hop trial.
He instead in the song 'Bill Cosby' hes more of a 'Opshop Kayne' before explaining 'I got Nothing to Lose/I got Stains in my Shirt/ and Holes in my Shoes/'

anyway check him out on his my space page:
