I know no one's around right now but I still want to show you my secret santa goods.

So I got this sweet little package last weekend from my secret santa. And when I opened it I decided to be lazy and use photobooth. Also, I am swaddled in blankets because I am very cold.

an entire case of pear om noms! what I always wanted! haha just kibblings.

a sweet little note from Ms Amelia!

it's those iron on fuzzy things and they're yellow!

a yellow fuzzy belt! now my pants will stay up! huzzah!

so I'm a giant packaging whore. Amelia wins at packaging/gift wrapping.

yay! I always put that I don't want scented things unless it's from Lush because Lush=never fails and I got a yummy Lush soap! :D

more packaging win!
after I opened it though I decided to get my lazy duff off the bed and use a real camera because I can't hold three awesome cookie cutters at once.

hehehe I'll have to make some creature baked goods!

see how much packaging and candyness win? The chocolate coins were Canadian coins and for whatever reason, I was highly amused...

I'm glad that you used clementine mesh♡ haha

aw heart shaped swirly crayons! :D sadly they broke but I've actually been experimenting with melting crayons into my own molds at school, so when I get back to school I'll try to stick them back together with my heat gun! (this is like the fourth time in the week I've been home that I've regretted not bringing it. oh darn.)

Awwwwwesome cat guy head! he's so squishsquish!

This is sad, but there was a broken glass jar. :(
This is actually a really neat gift though because the jar was for a terrarium and it included instructions, activated charcoal, and little houses and a mushroom which are of course necessities for a terrarium! I shall have to try to find another glass jar for this because it's too exciting to let go!

and then...

a sneezy laughing cat

a reptile of some sort

a confused mammal

and a contemplative walrus all jumped out of the package!
we played a few games of ring around the rosy and ate some candy canes. it was a joyous time.

Thank you Amelia! Everything is amazing, even the broken jar! I've actually been wanting broken glass for the last semester and that sounds weird, but I wanted to incorporate broken glass with ceramics and I hadn't had the chance but now I have broken glass, hoorah! :D I hope you have a happy holiday! ♡

(THIS BLOG IS NOW A YEAR OLD BUT I STILL WANT TO TALK ABOUT THINGS THAT SHOULD BE CHANGED)

I feel like some sort of animal that is gone and returns annually for Secret Santa. It's a ritual. Or maybe a habit.

I need help this year though.

hi.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SECRET SANTA

Oh yes, I'm serious. I'm not starting it quite yet, but I started it early Sept. last year and I want to get some feedback and input from the community before it gets rolling again. This year, I'm pretty sure I'll do it with Nicole again, like it was in 2008.

Brace yourselves, this may be a long read.

What are things that should be changed?

Like I know in past years, some people have not gotten packages, and even though I implemented the Elf system, often that falls through as well. Any thoughts on what could be done as a step after that? I've tried reimbursement; like sending an Elf something in turn for their service, but usually Elves don't want reimbursement, they do it out of kindness, and then they get busy around the holiday season.

What about newer/unknown members?

Regulars usually want to be a Santa to someone they know, but every year, new and unknown people join, and often because they may not be on the blogs much, and therefore not as invested in the community, the packages don't get sent or they're kind of half-assed because they don't know the person well. They also don't have really great communication with me like if I send them an e-mail, I sometimes have to wait a while for a response, and sometimes I don't get a reply at all. I know there's been talk about just NOT allowing unknown people to join. I don't know if that's fair, and I don't even know what kind of guidelines we could set for that, but what do you think?

The Questionnaire

What do you think of it? Can it be improved? What questions should we add or take out?

Right now I want to add
-do you smoke?
-do you have any piercings?

This is last year's questionnaire. (ignore the last one, that's just for sorting. :P)

Username:
Real name:
Address including country:

Willing to ship internationally?

Some of your favorites/stuff you want:
-books/novels/stories/etc:
-colors/color combinations:
-guilty pleasures:
-music:
-candy/snacks:
-animals:
-scents:

Dislikes?
Allergies?

Are you stalkable? (flickr, wist, facebook, etc please provide links!)

Do you have pets?
Any shirts you want?
Shirt size?

Anything else your Secret Santa should know?
Pick a number (1-20):

On Saturday, I recieved a summer secret santa lovely package from mr Tyler/Todow himself! My brain's pretty much just been full of the World Cup lately so I forgot to make a blog, but I did take pictures of the wonders that were inside the package!

Thanks a lot Tyler! I had a lot of fun opening it and I love it all! ♥

Well Kelsi seems pretty busy so I thought I'd just make my own blog. Part of my Etsy sales until August 12th will be donated to the cause.

These are some of the items in the shop. Right now it's mostly just more girly stuff but I hope to make and list other items when school's out.
Clearly, I like to name them all for some reason. :P)
