]]> Tue, 23 Aug 2011 19:16:30 -0500 Barbarians: A Handbook For Aspiring Savages, and Benjamin Chadwick, the author who co-wrote the book with real life Barbarian Grute Skullbasher, came up with a t-shirt concept. Since the book, I've been wanting to make a t-shirt design about barbarians, and think this is pretty funny.

The main concept is a barbarian in the typical pose used for fantasy posters, getting shocked by electricity.

Here's the first rough:


Let me know if you guys would:
A. Find this funny.
B. Have any suggestions for what I should add, change, for the next stage of the design.

UPDATE:
Totally took your advice, and just made a rad barbarian shirt, with a pile of pop cultural rubble beneath him! Parody of every barbarian poster! Let me know what you guys think!

I don't tend to like getting political on threadless with designs, but feel very moved by what appears to be the blatant suppression of the freedom of press by the United States. Hopefully many on here feel equally outraged, and would want to sport their outrage as a stylish shirt:
