So... Duplication is what Art is - you are a copy of a copy of a copy of a past/future self. Sometimes the copy is more blatant than others (have you had recurring dreams/feelings?), however, since it's a sliding scale of blatantness, it's all really the same - energy. Art is some form of a rip off of something that already exists somewhere in the Universe. That's one way I look at it.

Now, I've seen this a few times where an artist will call out another artist because they stole their art. Right about here is where the question arises: Is calling out someone for a rip somewhat selfish?

Let's think about this logically before we jump to conclusions.

By calling out someone on ripping my piece of art, essentially I would be stating that I want some form of recognition for doing the work - monetary or personal recognition. Is this assumption incorrect?

On a personal level, I find that to be slightly selfish on a very rudimentary level (is this form of selfishness good or bad?). Of course opinions will diverge from this one, and I welcome, with open arms, divergent ideas into the open forum of debate.

Please keep in mind I am not questioning any single person and I am not trying to convince someone of an opinion they don't want to have. This is a friendly little chit chat. :)

Handwriting is an exact extension of the user.

Let's say I'm writing the letter 'R.'

• In the moment of time before R is written, there is only space. R exists only in future tense as it does not yet exist.
• In the moment I am writing R, it is an extension of the Universe existing both in past and present (I'm looking back at past letters to make sure the kerning is suitable and I'm looking forward to the next letter and shape). Present tense is fluid.
• In the moment after I complete the letter R, it happened and will never happen in exactly the same way again. It now exists in past tense.
