Hey all, with the aim of having a little fun with the STP's i've collected i'm having a little competition at Tcritic.com over the next month where I am going to give away a total of 21 threadless $25 gift certificates. Basically every day or so I will post a secret word in one of my blog posts on Tcritic like this: the secret word is "banana" and the first person to make a comment on that post with the secret word will win the gift certificate (providing you fill in a proper email address in the field when you leave the comment). See this post for example.

I will also be throwing in some bonus certificates by posting a secret word to twitter and the winner will be the first person to leave a comment on the post that the secret word twitter post is linking to.

Hey all,

I write tcritic.com which is a blog about t-shirts, i refer a fair amount of business to threadless and accumulated almost $2000 worth of STP's. I was trying to figure out what to do with them so I decided to give them away to people that submit t-shirt related news stories, and info about new and cool stuff happening in the t-shirt world. I've already given away my first two. here's the info:
http://tcritic.com/archives/threadless-25-gift-certificates-for-t-shirt-related-news-and-posts/

If you like the idea spread the word, i'm hoping to spread some threadless love and get some new readers on my blog :-)

Cheers,

I just got back from the glastonbury festival in the UK and apart from music, alcohol etc there were a lot of t-shirts on sale - http://tcritic.com/archives/t-shirts-from-glastonbury-festival-07/

now this included an awful lot of threadless rip off's including "dark side of the garden" "jesus was a streaker" and "flowers in the attic". Now my question is does threadless have any responsibility to try and protect the intellectual property of the artists it prints? Are they doing anything now?

Thoughts?

hey all,

just recently launched tcritic.com/tdigger - which is exactly like digg for t-shirts, so far about 100+ users have signed up and the quality of the t-shirts that people are adding has been really good, self promotion is totally encouraged (unlike the real digg). Also there is even an adsense revenue sharing feature where if you submit pictures and you have an adsense id in your profile your ads show up next to your submissions.

Just got a great write up on download squad and am getting about 500 unique visitors a day, small potatoes I know but it's only been up a week :-)

downloadsquad.com/2007/04/21/tcritic-launches-tdigger/

Appreciate any feedback, and spreading the word, so check it out.

(only one major bug right now is if you edit your submission after you posted it we lose the image)

Cheers,
Kind of a bummer that you have to submit designs via snail mail but the prize money is pretty good.

Holy shit, yesterday my blog, tcritic.com got mentioned in a post on fimoculous.com which got picked up by http://boingboing.ne and I was essentially linked to from the home page all day. The result, 13,000 vistors, 20,000 page views and 2,000 subscribers to my frikin rss feed. phew. It also resulted in a whole bunch more entries on T-Shirt War.

I feel like the internet just had sex with me, and i'm basking in the afterglow :-)

Hey guys,

just launched an app like kittenwar but for t-shirts, check it out: http://tcritic.com/war/

the pictures of t-shirts are served up randomly in pairs and visitors vote on their favorites. You can upload your own pics and also add a URL and even a price that links back to your site.
http://tcritic.com/war/upload.php

Feedback appreciated,
