			<description><![CDATA[so about a year ago...<br />
 i read the intro to my copy of the Picture of Dorian Gray (whihc i highly recommend). somewhere in the introduction was mentioned gerard de nerval, a dandy who (according to legend) walked a lobster on a blue ribbon. I found this so absurd that gerard started appearing in the margins of my math notebook. <br />
I joined threadless in April, but only started submitting stuff within this past month. I decided to draw a more finished version of gerard and submit it to the site. <br />
<br />
So then i wondered if anyone had ever submitted a gerard before...It seemed like if anyone heard his story, they would certainly be inspired to draw him. <br />
<br />
But i dismissed this feeling, because the legend was somewhat esoteric and, from what i heard, not even true. I submitted the design, and then just today, i saw another design feauturing a lobster walk. crazy.]]></description>
