"What's the difference ... mashed potatoes and ..." is on the stick. I could have been creative, or I could rely on the knowledge of others, so I googled for a joke. One answer:

What's the difference between mashed potatoes and pea soup? Anyone can mash potatoes!

Hah!

Until I get creative, what's your completion for this joke?

Everyone does love me! They just didn't know I existed. Sure, there were rumors and legends, some weird foot-printy things that were probably left from a snowshoe rabbit disco party (they can really boogie), but now thanks to Scott, everyone knows! Yaah!

Ok, this is about some slogans I made. Yeah, my first blog is self-hype (but isn't that the majority of blogs here?) Anyhow, I just wanted to clarify a few of my slogans, which I might shift into designs .. one day.

John 4'33" : Listen, and ye shall hear the truth is referring to John Cage's piece from 1952, where he recorded a pianist ... sort of. The idea is that there is always sound, and silence is never really silent (at least, on the earth).

Location, Location, Menacing Stare - I thought of the notion of location being everything. Menacign stares help, too, at least for the antisocial sort.

Sleep is for the weak, and I'm the weakest vs. Sleep is my estranged lover, I miss her so - these came from college days of late-night labs, when either I was staying up for hours, or going to bed early when my friends pounded Mt. Dew.

Circles: what's the point? - circles have no point, get it? Ha! I was trying to figure the wittiest way to say this pun, and this was as far as I got.

The rest are pretty obvious. And now my question: anyone know how/when slogans are picked? Or is it whenever the threadless "gods" decide a slogan is worth printing, or they've found the right font face for it? Design contestants have a life-span, but I'm still not sure if slogans do, and we never see the feedback ratings of the winning slogans.
