You might have noticed that we have a coupla new girly styles in our womanly wheelhouse. Well, we’d love to have more designs that are made just for these new products! That’s where you come in - we want all types of styles: from edgy to cute, from abstract to patterns! So we’re launching the first-ever girly community challenge!

There will be two winners: 1 for tank tops and 1 for boat necks. Each will get a full printing prize, which is amazin’! All of us ladies here at Threadless will be the judges, and Alice Zhang aka silverqe has offered to monitor all the submissions in this blog right here. (Actually, we forced her into it).

The design doesn’t have to work on a guys version, but it’s nice if it does. No pressure either way!

This challenge ends October 24th 12 am CST, so get crackin’!

New templates, too! Download ‘em over on Alice’s blawg!.

A while back, we asked all you folks who get our newsletter to give us feedback on our emails. We got a range of stuff, but one particular email touched our hearts. Since we’re big softies, it led us to reprint “Sees the Day.” Check out our initial email from Jessica Santistevan:

"So, I initially signed up for Threadless.com e-mails just on the chance that ONE SPECIFIC shirt ever came into re-print. It's a shirt my bf got a while back (in the US) and he wants a second one but he's in the Army and is currently deployed in Afghanistan and can't check on 're-printed' t-shirts…
My bf wore this shirt every weekend he visited home and anytime we were ANYWHERE guys and girls were drooling over his shirt...it became a joke…"

Then when our own Bob Nanna emailed her to let her know the shirt was being reprinted, this was her response.

"…I can't even type in grammatical sentences right now. I know that this is so small in the scheme of things but it's rare that I get to e-mail my boyfriend with fun and exciting news to take his mind off of things he's encountering while being in Afghanistan. If I could reach through the computer and hug you all...I would. Thank you from the bottom of my heart "

For us, this awesome tee will connected with this sweet story from now on. We can’t do much about this big ol’ war that’s happening. But lil’ things like this hopefully help a lil’ bit (we couldn’t help but send her two “Sees the Day” tees for her and her faraway man). And who knows? We might just be doing more reprints like this in the future…stay tuned, kids.
