Over the years Threadless has exposed me to a lot of great music; but I rarely consider tributing.. Mostly due to the fact that I "assume" that if I've heard it, everyone else must have.

I was just looking at the new shirts and was shocked to see bloggers in the product photos! ok, I wasn't shocked (since they won't stop talking about Chicago); but now I can't bring my self to buy any of them.... Is that really how I would look in one of those???

5 Years on Threadless (update - need your help!)

It's hard to believe; but today my Threadless account officially turned 5, so Threadaversary blog. I'll try and keep it short.

I've been here a long time, I've just taken my time making my presence known. A friend sent me a link to the site way back when it had just started out and told me that I really need to check it, so I did... and I promptly forgot about it.. Quite some time later i stumbled on it again, bought a few shirts and made an account. Back then I think the site was really just starting to take off; but I still wasn't participating. I'd visit the Threadless off and on for the next few years, until that faithful day in '06 when they launched the "Threadless love Threadless" contest with it's massive prizes. I should have tried a little harder...

Any way... 2007 was a big year for me, it's the year I won! and it also seemed to be one of the best years for Threadless (or that's how it seemed). It was really exciting, I had only submitted 6 designs prior to my first win and I thought I would be bound to win again soon... Alas, I was horribly wrong. I've been struggling every since (I've even started a new account), unable to settle on a "style" I'm almost unrecognizable. That being said, it's not all bad. Threadless was a great creative outlet with an AMAZING community, it's been extremely rewarding even without another winner.

So thanks to everyone for all the good times!!

I'm working on a special sub to celebrate my 5 years, here's a preview.

It's been an extra crappy week and now I have to deal with the new girl they hired at work. She seems to think that she's my boss and it's really pissing me off....
