I think it's just about time I hang up my mouse around here. I've spent the last 2 years trying to produce a second print and have come to terms that it's likely an impossible goal.

However that's not why I'm stopping. This place has been damaging and fantastic at the same time. Unfortunately because I've always lacked confidence and have always been hard on my self, it's gotten to the point where this is only making things worse. Let me be clear, I don't feel I'm deserving, I'm not looking for sympathy, and I'm not looking for anyone to convince me to stick around.

So, let me get to the point of this whole blog. I plan to submit 5 more designs under this account and 2 designs under my So_simple account (not sure why) and then I'm out. I'm not saying that I won't come back; but I might not. I really feel I need to take some time to figure things out, and work on becoming a better illustrator.

Maybe I'm too old, maybe people are over the flat vector style I use, or maybe I just don't have the skills. I don't know; but the last 7 designs I produce will be the best I have to offer (i'll post them in this blog as they are finished).]]> Fri, 18 Sep 2009 22:56:49 -0500

I don't regret going and I appreciate all the hard work of the staff, I just wish I didn't mess it up for myself. At the end of the day some of you might be like "hey, I think I saw that guy... but I'm not really sure", and that's a little better than I had a few days ago.

I'll be easy to spot if I go. Just look for the guy standing by himself with his arm crossed, some people tell me I look intimidating; but I'm not threat (I may also be sweating a lot, can't say for sure)...
