haven't been 'round these parts in a while so I thought I'd mosey in for a moment and spread some greetings. :)

been SUPER busy with work. had this project that made me want to hang myself most days because it was just so hectic. gearing up for some holiday madness now, finishing some orders, trying to wrap up everything before I leave. yikesness.

that massive month of $10 sale rocked! of course anything I wanted either wasn't $10 or was sold out. *L* But I grabbed Ah Munna Eat Choo for my bf because everytime he sees it he gets in fits of laughing. too much cuteness. seriously ;)

any news with you folks? any new designs?

ok, so I'm cooking dinner: pasta and sauce. I'm wearing my comfy clothes, which includes a tank top that happens to not entirely cover my belly. I lift the lid to the sauce pot to stir it, and apparently some kind of pressure built up in the pot and .... WHAM! SPLAT!...OW! FUCK!... scalding hot sauce explodes everywhere, splashing across my arms and middle. the freakin stuff didn't just burn my skin, it actually BLISTERED my skin. that's right, I have burn blisters all over my wrists and stomach. WTF. I seriously can't make this stuff up. fucking ow.

Ok, I've been away for... sheesh! about a month. And I'm just encountering the new site for the first time. Things I'm figuring out so far...

tees
I see that it's actually much easier to navigate through the tees for sale with the new system. I like that the sold out tees are now in a separate tab. And the text category is cool. (how many people are posting "lose the text" in the scoring? *w*)

and yeah, there's kid's tees now.
and those fun little member pics on the side.

anything else change that I missed? policies? STP still the same?

profiles
I like the way the blogs are handled now. very graceful.

I totally dig that you can now use basic html in COMMENTS for a blog entry. so I can now bold people's names when I'm replying to them. or post real links. nifty. And it's cute that it says "remember, be nice!" when you go to post a comment.

our About Me section has now sort of taken a back seat. so for folks like me who had a lot of stuff in that column, our profiles look funny now. :) or maybe it's just because I gots no blog entries yet.

these little tab-y things at the top are nifty and a cool way to organize the info. though I have to say that it takes some getting used to now that the pages look TOTALLY different. things feel kinda wonky looking at the moment.

our "home" page can now have a RSS feed from another blog source, and those listy things I don't really know about. k... guess I'll see how that works.

rholiday mentioned something about our old blog entries, pre- new threadless dont' quite work. what's that about?

anything else? has the blog forum changed at all?

bloggers
I haven't yet had time to hit my bloggers reading list. hit me with the highlights. what's the scoop on my fab Threadless folks?

and what's been the dirt on this new change? are folks liking it?

um... yeah... that's all. :)

Was there a time limit for submitting the urls for our lost blog entries? I've been super-super busy with work and haven't had the time before now to do so. I just went to the Threadless page with the link to submit the urls and the link no longer works: The Great Blog Disaster
any idea what's up?

ok. so every single blog I've ever made has vanished... which sucks in infinite ways. But if I have to rebuild, I guess this is a good place to start....

Totally off topic, but just wanted to share one of those knock-me-over-with-a-feather moments.
I was asked to give an interview for Etsy! I'm the featured seller of the week.

This means a feature on the home page for the week and a full page interview in the archives. You guys have always been so supportive and encouraging, through messages and sales... I just wanted to say thanks. It's part of the reason this happened.

I was floored when they contacted me and giddy all day. I consider it a true honor to have been asked. But I was also totally frantic, given less than a day to write the interview and provide photgraphs. Plus, I'm now having to sew and photograph all night for the next several days so I can post new and different products to take advantage of the coverage.

They have a template for questions, but made the mistake of saying "You can add some questions if there's any you can think of." So of course I peppered a few oddities throughout. ;) I have to give props to the staff for accepting my offbeat submission. Though they did remove one thing -- a line at the end of my tips for selling that apparently stepped over the edge:
Personally, I also find that a live puppy sacrifice to the Dark Overload every new moon really helps keep the business humming.

Sometimes humor doesn't translate well online. ;) You can check out the interview here. Be sure to click on the top studio photo.
