AAAhhhhhhh!
I hate, no I loath, one of my co-workers. I work in the collections/exhibits dept. of my museum and I'm in charge of some fairly rare and neat old things. Well every so often we allow these rare and neat old things to be used by our education dept for programs and shows. I always have a fear that these things are going to get broken and they often do, and yet you would think my boss would have learned his lesson and would say no to these people and allow me to have a normal blood pressure level for once. Today one of the geniuses from the education dept. comes to me with this or should I say these:

and these

and then for good measure these

and tells me she broke our beautiful mastodon tusk......
Which originally looked something like this:
(not my picture)

I am soo mad I'm shaking. I now get to spend probably the rest of the week counting tusk pieces.

Thanks for letting me rant a bit

Are you and your family planning to be in the Tampa area? or perhaps your a local with an empty weekend? Then come on down to MOSI and have fun with your friendly neighborhood pirates.

Ok i'm done with the salesman speech. I actually just got to see this exhibit for myself and it's pretty neat and thought I would share with ya'll since I know pirates are a favorite subject on here. Of course it does have other things as well, shipwreck recovery and conservation, and alot of good ole' timey maritime history
