This is my favorite sub this week. I really wish I'd come up with this design, because it's so much more creative than most of the other designs and is just all-around amazing. It reminds me of my school notebooks (no notes, just doodles...haha).

These are my picks (hopes, rather) for the Little Miss Sunshine competition. This is one of my favorite submissions of all time. It's absolutely beautiful. This one just has to win. It's a beautiful illustration, and has enough detail to be interesting, but not too much as to lose the simple style.
This one might not completely fit the theme of the competition, but I still love it. It's a fabulous illustration, and great concept. It's so high quality; it really deserves to be printed.
So there are my picks. Anybody know when the winners should be announced?

I haven't seen Little Miss Sunshine yet, but I noticed that one of the characters is named "Dwayne Hoover." (This is the son character who has taken a vow of silence.) Dwayne Hoover is a character in Kurt Vonnegut's book Breakfast of Champions, and I was wondering if anyone who'd seen the movie, (or hasn't), knew if there was a connection there? I haven't read anything about the character that is an obvious tie to the Vonnegut character, but the name made me curious.

So I've pretty much gotten hooked on Donovan. Anybody else? Got a favorite song? I really love Riki Tiki Tavi, Barabajagal, Ballad of Geraldine, Catch the Wind, and Jersey Thursday...to name a few, haha. Let's see if this post gets any responses. At all.

I've worn my "Be Green" shirt about 4 times so far, and it seems that no one can tell what it says. I still love the shirt, but I was wondering if anyone else had that problem. One of my friends said, "Nice Doors shirt," and I had no idea what he was talking about. I said something along the lines of, "Whadahuh?" and he said, "That's what your shirt says, isn't it? 'The Doors'?" Oh well. It's a fabulous shirt anyway.

Also, I have a rad new computer, but I don't have my new Photoshop software yet...I'm getting Illustrator and InDesign, too...I'm extremely excited...but I am having withdrawal issues without my dearest Photoshop.
