Wow, it's been so long since I tried out Threadless. But it's kind of fun to come back and look at your old stuff and see why it might not have worked! So here's trying again, as it gives me some imperative to work and improve on things.

So this month I thought heck. I'm a lazy bastard. I don't do half of what I should and even then it's not that great. So I thought about what I liked doing and I figured that drawing is what I like most. Now as a person who loves drawing, I figured I should be doing a lot more than one doodle now and then, and really I should try to make something every day.
So I've been trying to stick to this, and part of this has been posting to threadless. I've put up two designs recently, both towards the Threadless plays with loves itself contest (I don't honestly know how the Keep it Cool one got in there... not really very different :( )

Now I see I can put one more try into that competition. But it's so hard to decide what to do! Looking for an idea is awful, because in reality the idea is out looking for you. I'm going to take as much time as I can with this one, and then do my best. :) Should be fun anyway

So point is, how do you come across your ideas? Do you toil for hours in a darkened room for that perfect shirt or does it just come out of the blue?

Just wondering, but what's the overall feeling you get when you've found out that you've won? I can imagine it's pretty good, but I'd love an expanded description from the real deal.

The reason I'm asking is because my stomach shifted uneasily this morning when I opened my cupboard. Not because I keep dead bodies in there or anything, but because I was confronted with my small collection of shirts. And then I thought about a handful of people each week staring at their computer screens at some kind of large message saying "HULLO! YOU WON etc!" (actually, how are the winners notified? And is it with much flair and magic flash?)

Anyway. How's it feel? :P

With 2 of my submissions failed within 100 votes, I can't help but hope that this next one will go through. My last piece, an angry octopus, didn't fare as well as I'd hoped and was sent back into the depths of... that place where tshirts go to die.

But I have (rather naive, hur hur) high hopes for this next tee - of which there is a sneaky peek here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/22235903/

So it's not a witty joke or clever use of imagery, but it looks OK, right?

Here's hoping that this one makes it past 100 votes.

So I've been waiting the last few days for my tshirt to get submitted. 5 whole days or so, with me checking my email as often as humanly possible to see when it gets submitted.

And this morning, it gets submitted. But what's this? I don't have one email from Threadless, nor two, but three!

Before I know it, my tshirt is out of the running before I even get to enjoy the fact that it's IN. A measly 1.15, and nobody even says why. So could somebody please look at it and tell me why it could of done so badly? I feel really hard done by, to be honest, even if it is a little childish.

So could anybody give me some advice, and maybe I could resubmit?
I was thinking about removing the 'Get Mad' bit. :/

Do you ever have one of those great dreams where you get loads of presents, find 100 smackers in cash on the ground, or are given a car by some strange man in a pink suit, only to wake up about a minute later going 'YAAAAY-oh damn"?

I got that about three times this morning when I discovered that I had won a dream-based threadless competition. Three times. God damn, I swear I will never sleep again if that keeps on happening.

Speaking of dream-based Threadless, I dreamt they had this really cool HQ with very nice furniture inside. ;)
But maybe I shouldn't worry too much about competitions. Not to the point where I have recurring dreams about the internet. :/

I wonder if anybody else has had strange dreams recently :P
