alright threadless crowd,

i need some help. i've seen this in many designs and i've been wondering what the trick is to make it, so hear me out and hopefully you great people can help.

could someone please tell me what you must do in order to create patterns in an object. i know that's not very clear so here, i'll give you a link to what i mean (arzie has plenty of examples)

example

a few of his other submissions use patterns too and i really would like to know how to go about this.

just another example for the hell of it...

example 2

well since i've seen a lot of people posting blogs in regards to new designs they wish to submit, i thought i'd try it too. i didn't want to at first cause i thought it was cheap, but i figure it might be better to get some opinion from all of you in the threadless community.

SO...the design i'm planning on submitting is my profile picture. it's called "monkey see, monkey chew" and i was pleased with how it came out, but it's really hard to see in the profile picture so here's a link to my yahoo page and the pictures are much better.

please tell me what you think!...

Well, since I know for a fact everyone can't wait for the Threadless crew to get back and for the revealing of some new kick ass shirts, I figure what better topic to bring up other than the subject of...

What designs do you think will get printed in this next batch or which ones would you love to see!?

Personally I would like to see the tree one from Rock Deputy. Possibly one of Mezo's oh so incredible designs and of course there's gotta be a Glennz shirt in the mix. Oh and that new shirt with the fish that almost broke the 4.0 barrier. What does everyone else think?

Alright so whether or not "Natural Rejection" is a visually stunning t-shirt, I want it to get printed sooooooo bad. I mean Threadless has been doing a great job printing out new shirts really fast lately, so I guess I was just hoping this one might get picked eventually.

Anyone else want "Natural Rejection" just as bad!?

alright so i know it might be over used a lot on here and all, but i'm just curious as to how everyone makes the splatter marks. is there any effect anyone uses or do you sit and create each drop. another thing i haven't bothered figuring out is how you make your designs look almost vintage like and worn. if there are any filters or any steps to this can someone please give me a couple tips. thanks.
