Most hotels are booked for that weekend by now so if no one of the following options work for you, you'll have to get creative.

OPTION 1

Ladykat has posted a last call for the big Ambassador East party room. We need at the very least 10 definite people to afford this room. People who are not staying four nights are welcome but we might need a few more extra peeps to keep that cost down! We're aiming for about $30/person/night.

OPTION 2

If the Ambassador room does not work, Kate and I have two rooms booked at the Heart of Chicago motel. The people who signed up for the Ambassador will get the first dibs at the extra room and whoever is left can fill in the empty corners. One possibility could be this:

Room 1:

(one bed spot still available and floor space)

Room 2 (ladykat would transfer this reservation to one of you):

(one bed spot still available if people are OK with sharing ... and floor space)

Space will be tight but I'm sure we can all fit between the three rooms if Ambassador is a bust. I will bring three twin air mattresses and some sleeping bags in my car.

And who's really going to spend much time at the hotel anyway? ;-)

They can be anything from shirts to prints to other crafty goodies to whatever your creative minds can think up.

Last year I remember seeing art prints, photo prints, crochet/knit stuff and a handpainted Munny in addition to the shirts.

Becca will make it easy for you to donate and help you post wherever you want to sell (ebay, etsy or rethreaded). Using rethreaded means no fees so more money goes to the fundraiser!

Contest submissions might be due in a few days but the sale will go on.

It as a Stitch N Pitch game so knitting/crocheting/etc. was encouraged. We got free hats and a free project to make for charity.

I paid enough attention to the game to know that they lost. But we still had tons of fun. :-)

I can also do pillowcases for some of those above. And I have some fleece, flannel and other soft fabric to do non-tee pillows. I can create a pattern with that fabric and even add a "hidden" pocket. I'll post pix of what I have if there's great interest.

Update

I went shoe crazy the past two days.

Yesterday, I got some Converse for $20 at TJ Maxx just for fun (not crazy walking). Is $20 a decent price or should I return them?

Because today, I went to Rogan's and got some cushy cushy ROOS! I wasn't expecting to like em but they were so nice. And fun colors, too! This isn't them because I can't find my colors online (lavendar, gray, yellow).



And for half off, I got these Union Bay flipflops cuz they are squishy :-)
