Basically, the idea is a forum troll with his high tech rig sowing disruption, discord and all the rest of the good stuff

Maybe add some typical forum-elements in a subtle way?
Like post-it notes as stickys, a newspaper with some spelling corrected (like those trolls that point out every grammar mistake), give him a signaturebanner in the form of a tattoo on his arm.. Just some quick ideas

I prefer the cave version. Could you maybe incorporate a twitter-esque bird somehow? Woud you even want to?

This is all kinds of hilarious, monsterously good colors dude! I like the look of the high tech version, but the cave probably makes more sense. Maybe have him with a small word bubble mumbling Q-bert cursewords (eg- $$!@!*$%@!) because trolls are known for their filthy mouths and distractingly stupid convos.

Looks pretty awesome now, especially removing the computer rig did a lot of good. Like you said it seemed more like a hacker before.

Hmm, I think a few pimples on his face might make him looks more loser-ish, but.. i dunno. The cave system looks better, but wouldn't a basement make more sense? Isn't it popular belief that all forum trolls live in their mom' basements?

thanks guys.

This is so hard to choose now, so i'm going with my gut and going with the high tech version in the basement, just seems more 'now' and makes a bit more sense. I'll add more post it notes, one saying 4chan, and the Q-bert cursewords i'll give a go too.
