Hi, I'm new to the Threadless community and I guess my biggest question (sorry if it's stupid) is about how to actually end up with a submittable design because the submission blurb says to create art in Illustrator or Photoshop. I also read a comment advising someone to trace over their drawing with the pen tool. Does this mean you have to use one of those programs, or can you just do an old-fashioned illustration and scan it in to Photoshop to submit it? Thanks!!

You can do it in pen, and then if you have a good enough scan and the line quality on your drawing is good enough, you can make it from that.

you can definitely just scan in a hand drawn image, a lot of people do that :)

Thanks!! That's a relief ! I have a design up for critique that I did in Illustrator, but I've been teaching myself the program from a book and I guess I'm being a bit impatient to get stuff up on the site. If you'd like to critique my design, it's:
