Cheers. I'm off on holiday in the lake district for a week from tomorrow, so I've got to get my dad to do the ordering for me. Its gonna be a bit of a palaver for him, so I want to make sure I get all my facts straight!

Food for thought:

The shirts are usually released at 10am Chicago time.

The hoody sale was supposed to start at midnight the day of. It actually started about 11:45pm the night before.

Just be conscious of that.

Daylight savings time needs to be abolished.

Do shirts at sales sell out _that_ fast? And are all shirts on sale, or just the ones that come out new tomorrow?
Cause I won't be home before 3 pm Chicago time tomorrow .. :/

oneitis- I would think it might take a good day or two before most shirts start running low [unless their supplies are already tending towards empty]. It's towards the end of the sale that you have to worry.

It seems to me that a lot of times the brand new T's sell out quickly but the ones that still have a decent stock amount will hang around for awhile. The five I bought during the last sale are still all around. (But they were reprints so that does make a difference.)

Does anyone know if the $9 reprints will include reprints from past weeks? Just tomorrow's?

Damnit, there's 32 tees I "want" right now. Of course I won't be able to buy them all, let alone this week .. I guess I'll buy those first of which there are already below 100 left.

Is there any way to check the stock levels, apart from the stock chart page, which takes aeons to load? I'm sure there used to be an easier way.

Nicola - In the spoiler blog there are $9 fliers hanging in the store. Let me see if I can find it.

@ welshalesx, well I can only tell you how I do it, maybe there's a better way.
I put a shirt I want in my cart, then I click "check out". In the cart, I just enter "1000" or something like that for "quantity". Then Threadless tells me that there are only 325 shirts left (in that size) :)

Sweet, thanks. I had seen that blog now that you mention it, but I couldn't make out what was in the blue circles.

I'm not excited about any of the new shirts or reprints, but there are five from the past few weeks that are going to be mine all mine.

damn U.K import duty, have to narrow it down to 4.

thanks oneitis, I'm gonna try that.

oneitis on Mar 16 '08 at 5:45pm
oh, another advice to you, welshalex, since you mention import duty:

I don't know how it is in the UK, but here in Germany they're pretty strict. I always only order 2 shirts at once from Threadless at a time. The one time I ordered 3, I had to pay 13€ extra (that's 10£ ). So even if I'll order, say, 4 shirts during the sale, I'll make 2 different orders for them.

I'm in the UK and very rarely get busted. Better safe than sorry though.

Sonmi, I think squatterjohn is from another country. So converting time overseas is messed up & confusing during daylight savings time.

I've got 13 shirts in my cart and I'm not sure if i'll just buy them all or if i'll have to trim my selection down !?!?!?!?

Does anyone know if there is a "pre-sale" ? Meaning is there a secret code where people can get the sale prices early? The only reason why i think this could be true is I've had a number of shirts in my cart sell-out in the past 24 hours which is annoying ! Why would someone pay full price for a shirt today when they can have it on sale tomorrow? And why are people stealing my shirts? B*stards !
loserbeech
loserbeech on Mar 16 '08 at 8:43pm
Nope, there hasn't been a pre-sale in the three years that I've been here. You should check which of the shirts you want are really low on stock, and if you want them that badly and they're in danger of selling out, buy them at full price.
Robin.NJ
Robin.NJ on Mar 16 '08 at 8:44pm
Yeah... i know. But i made a new year's resolution to spend less money this year.

So somehow buying 13 shirts onsale falls into the OK category of my resolution. But buying 1 shirt full price is a No-No.

lol, it did last more than a weekend, though right? Clocks are now forward in America an hour BUT clocks are going back an hour in Australia week after next I think which is really starting to confuse me as to whether it's possible to stay up for the new shirts, or how many hours of the sale will have passed beofre I wake up. This is important if you're watching the stock chart on stuff.

I guess I was wrong about the sale starting at midnight. G'night all.
