Is anyone else confused?

When people use 6 unique colors, they catch hell from the members. But if they use tiny gradients or resubmit, nobody says anything.

Half the time, a submission has "this is the second time I submitted this design" in the designer's comment. Good thing nobody declined it so that way I could waste my time judging a shirt that will never be printed.

But really I'm just pissed off because my first submission was declined because it was "too large," which is bullshit. And not only is it bullshit, but there isn't any way the screeners could know if it was too big.

I haven't seen any recent subs with 6 colors or small gradients. If there are they must have slipped through by mistake. Resubmitions are ok if decent changes are made to them. With multiple people putting submissions up and no time to read every comment we can't be responsible to remember every single design.

As for your designs... both of your submissions have been huge. They should be about half the size of what you have them. No body prints shirts with graphics that large other than Wal-Mart. Why didn't you resize and resubmit?

For example your latest pending submission:

If we were to print it just like you submitted it the design would be at least 11"x15" which is way too big.

If this goes up for scoring I can guarantee almost every comment would say "It's way too big, make it smaller"

By the way, kudos on the I Heart NY idea... I mean, I've never seen anything so original in my entire life. You should really try to patent that design so nobody steals it...

Yeah I guess you're right, I should resize my design from the 13x13 inch at 200 dpi (actual content less than 10x12) to somewhere around 6x6 inches.

So I guess the shirt template is clearly marked in inches.

I'll just resize it and resubmit it cause that's allowed according to the guidelines.

And nice haircut Wheels.

no, template doesn't have any size markings. You just have to use your best judgement. If you make them about half the size or maybe a little bit over half they should be good.
