Uh, probably not going to appeal to many here, but. Saw The Black Crowes open up for Tom Petty. The Crowes kicked ass, as usual, and Petty rocked it pretty well for an 80 year old.

I was supposed to be going to see Asva tonight in Manchester, but they cancelled :(

I think my next gig is Church Of Misery. Although I might go and see Clutch when they support CKY soon. Despite hating CKY loads.

I haven't heard much elbow, but what I have heard is pretty good.

Last gig I went to was Ben Lee/Ben Folds/Rufus Wainwright. Not something I would have paid for myself, but someone else was taking me. It was pretty good, anyway.

I've got tickets for a Fiery Furnaces concert next month, and hopefully I'll be going to the Andrew Bird concert in November, too.

Gah, Elbow! They are great. I've just moved to NYC, so I have no idea yet of where to go to find out where all the local bands are playing...I bet the local band scene here is better than in MD tho. hehe. Before I moved up here, I'd gone to see Agents of the Sun and CKY. Both awesome Baltimore/East Coast bands...

I went to CBJB's, and all the music venues down that area when i visited NYC, so cool. Great Jazz bars.

Definitely go to Lucilles Bar and Grill, they have really good funk bands playing. Its in the centre of Times Square.

You can listen to the new Elbow album here, for free by the way. And legal. It will only be up for a couple of weeks.

http://3voor12.vpro.nl/3voor12/luisterpaal/luisterpaalalbum.shtml?10617791+23988281

or one of the other albums on it. For example The Decemberists or The New Pornographers

Last show I went to see was Death Cab, a week or two ago with Stars opening. Unless you count the show I went to a few nights ago, it was some local rockabilly bands. Death Cab was fantastic.
