My new sub, Brr, Shiver Me Timbers is up:



A bit of background story behind the design.
Capt. Frosty actually started out as a tropical island man:



Something i wanted to submit for the summer. But my computer broke down and i wasnt able to finish it.
By the time it was fixed, i wasnt into the idea so much anymore.

Then i notice how a ship kind of looked like a hat. a pirate's hat.. So that idea combined with my pareidolia ended up as this:



Also here is my original sketch of the ship/hat:



After scanning it, and a bit of tinkering in photoshop to make it look darker. (I think i duplicated the image, applied a multiply blend, some curves, overlay.) I added the ice and some brush sprays for the snow effect.

It wasnt my intention to make the ship crashed with the iceberg. It just ended up that way as i was adding the snow and ice and i was happy with it. :)

Also some emptees love perhaps?
