Ok so a lot of you know that I do love drawing a good ole news anchor, the situation and dead pan delivery of such a visual perfectly accompanies my morbid humour.

But lets face it, I've already done one in today's top story... so once I do the version i've mostly drawn now (with a female anchor) that's about all I can do without just being bloody repetitive.

So I better make this punchline count.

My original:

Story square in the top right that has a picture of a house burning and "5 dead in house fire"

And she is saying something like "In other news, try the hot new taste of Mama Jones barbeque chicken wings"


But really, could I do better? The above will make some people upset but you get that with dark humour.

Other possibilities:

"Due to complaints from several viewers, all instances of the word "murder" on our news service will be replaced with "human assisted passing".

"A large explosion, lots of people died, city in turmoil, yada yada yada... coming up next is a great new reality tv show from the makers of survivor: landmine beach"

One that would never ever be printed:
News square says COCK SLAP with a chicken.

"In other chicken related news... insert some weird thing here"

I could come up with more, but theres a few general streams of humour that could go with this.
