Well, i'm back, and this time i'm trying to submit a critique. But i'm getting seriously PO'D. I'm having a ton of trouble reducing the file size on my designs. Does anyone have experience with this kind of frustrating crap???

What program are you using? Reducing the file size shouldn't be that difficult.

Are you trying to save it just so you can post something on the critiques? So a JPG?

Save for Web & Devices it will be the entire image instead of just a piece of it if you're working with a really large image. If you choose JPG and save that should work just fine.

Usually when it comes to resizing images and such, you'd want to use Photoshop though. It's much more accurate and less of a pain.

Gah it cut off part of my explanation.

First off, make sure your image is contained within the "art board", which is your digital piece of paper in illustrator. Then File - (insert my other comment here)

Well if you're saving in Illustrator, that's about it. If you want to correctly size everything and make a thumbnail as well, I suggest taking the JPG you just saved into Photoshop.
