...even if the 90 days have passed? cause for some reason I'd like to keep it in my "portfolio" here.
also...who do I mail to in case I need/want to pull it from threadless?
I feel like I have improved a little, artistically, since I joined this site.
Some of my scores aren't that bad either but I feel like most of them are lacking concept to be really popular / get printed. Maybe someone wants to collab to take a slow-working artist to the next level? Or just leave a comment with constructive criticism so I can get better?! I'm out of ideas. I feel lost... These are the subs that reflect my work best: ![]() ![]()
If you were wandering around a flea market in Berlin and you saw this as a poster (23x33 inches // 60x84 cm A1) would you buy it?
![]() I'm contemplating wether to print this and similar ones and try to sell them at said flea market but I'm not sure if it's worth the investion. I'd like some honest opinions, please. No brownnosing! You could look at my old sub for a closeup. ![]()
couldn't think of a good title.
I#m currently working on an adventure-time sub but am afraid I cannot make it in time ( I work soooo slow and have sooo little time). so my question is: could I enter the regular threadless comp if I dont make it in time as long as I don't use copyrighted material? and do you think I'd stand a chance in the atrium comp, if I don't use a yellow jake and a regular-looking finn?
I need some villians from the show for my adventure time design, that suit it visually...got one spot left. Wanna pick the best.
So: name any villain (or sidekick) from the show that comes to mind! GO!
I was just wondering. Many of you use all this tumblr, twitter and similar stuff to promote your subs. I don't even know how most of it works. Just joined and quit twitter a while ago, because at first it seamed nice too me, but then I realized that I'm not enjoying it and that it's only hard work for me (might be different for others). That's beside the point anyways. What I'm trying to say is...my best score so far was also my best design imo. sure, it didn't get 100 comments but the comments I got (about 70) were sincere. When I promoted earlier subs on threadless, I got more comments but some were just bored and I think it might even have taken the score down.
So in general, do you really feel it is neccesary to promote your work on the interwebs? Does the score get any better, when people from the "outside" come in and score? I realize there are a few designs that went viral...those are exceptions though. I guess there already are a few blogs concerning this I'm just interested in your opinion. Maybe someone could even link me to a tumblr-tutorial, if you think it's a must-do :P
So here's the deal. I might have the chance to paint a really big wall inside a doctor's office. It will be mostly black linework based on my "ode to the city" design.
I've never really painted walls except for when I was a kid or with the use of a spraycan. So now that I need to use a brush and some paint....I don't have a clue, what to use. What experiences did you make. Any certain types of paint I should / shouldn't use? which brushes work best? Or should I just not worry, take a normal brush and some acrylic paint? I AM SO EXCITED!
okay...I'll admit it : I am a total noob when it comes to Illustrator. usually it doesn't bother me much because i get stuff done.
but now I can't remember a thing that I think was really simple. I live traced a simple object. black and white. now I wanna get rid of the white (since it was a jpeg with a white bg and I only need the black object). any help is appreciated! thanks.
I submitted this to skaws throwback blog previously, but wasn't really finished back then. Made some additions, altered the color scheme and added some detail.
Can you think of any improvements I can make? A title? Should I add a ground shadow? new version: ![]() |
