These games rarely come out good.
But there are a few that beat the stereotype. For me, one of those games is Toy Story for the Super Nintendo.

This game has everything, great graphics, awesome gameplay, tight controls, and most of all: variety. Every level is different, and gets more difficult as you go along.

I could go on about how sweet this game is...but I won't.
Does anyone else like a specific movie tie-in game?

The Spider-man 2 game was wonderful. Swinging around felt so good.

Hell yeah goldeneye!
Olie is that lost world for sega genesis?
I think at the end you fight T-rex!

   tymn on Jul 22 '09 at 12:21am
Aladdin for snes, NOT the one for sega.

   olie! on Jul 22 '09 at 12:21am
tymn not sure, that one is just original Jurassic Park for Genesis. You fight two raptors at the end. Rampage Edition was pretty good too

seeing the aladdin screenshot made my face squirm. i don't remember enjoying that game at all.
iPear
iPear on Jul 22 '09 at 12:22am
yeah the snes one is terrible.

Spider-Man 2 is probably one of the best super hero games of that generation, most of them sucked.

Wolverine Origins is surprisingly good, better than the movie.

iPear on Jul 22 '09 at 12:23am
did you play it on snes, ginette? The Sega one was seeeeeeeeeeeeeeew good.
olie!

I can't count how many times I played the Aladdin game..never owned it...but would always end up renting it over and over again and depriving other children from getting their hands on it.

dude, it's sooooo much better than the snes version, I would say to get a sega just to play it. i swear Alladin is like the only game that has ever had it's game on multiple platforms of the same graphic capability but with such drastically different gameplay.

the snes version is so freaking bad. didn't he throw apples or some stupid crap?
iPear
iPear on Jul 22 '09 at 12:28am
hte pocahontas game was great too even though you couldn't kill anyone or whatever, you got to transform into animals and shit, that ws awesome.
jodabaum
   jodabaum on Jul 22 '09 at 12:29am
he threw apples in both sega and the snes version if im not mistaken, but i agree the sega aladin was better!

generally licensed games tended to be alot better for like older systems than they are now, but maybe I feel like that because at that age I didn't really have a strong sense of understanding what a good game was...
iPear
iPear on Jul 22 '09 at 12:29am
he didn't have a sword in the snes version, I think.

You know what game sucked massive sweaty ballz?

Superman for N64...man...what a waste of a game..you had to like fly around into impossible loop holes around a dead city with nothing going on... it was like everyone in the city realized how lame the game was and just ejected themselves from the game.

we should start playing emulators again dude. I remember like a year ago me, torasteve, viralVisual and a few others started playing sega emulators and he found this thing called netplay that would let you play two player games online with people. We played SO much streets of rage, micro machines, and teenage mutant ninja turtles.

omg omair don't even tell me about that. i waste enough time on here as is.

ps. i will probably have to fix up my computer before i can even play that stuff but let me know if it starts again. i'm weak.
iPear
iPear on Jul 22 '09 at 12:35am
superman is TERRIBLE! It's like considered the worst game of all time I'm pretty sure. But you know what I think is up there too? Bubsy 3D, oh man, that game is so bad... like all the levels were just polygonal shapes. Like they didn't even look like anything, they were just shapes, and you had NO depth perception at all.
shirtflirt
shirtflirt on Jul 22 '09 at 12:36am
they need to make assassins creed into a movie now
tymn
   tymn on Jul 22 '09 at 12:36am
I've never played it but I heard this was the worst movie game ever.
iPear
iPear on Jul 22 '09 at 12:36am
haha! you don't need to have a super good computer, but sho thang, guhlfrnad!

playing it is hard though since you're online and you don't really have any form of communication when you're playing online. Like in streets of rage, I kept on grabbing steve's dude on accident and I couldn't let go without kicking or punching her.

You know what rocked as a game though?! Pokemon Stadium... and not even for the battles...but for the mini games...maaaaan those games were off the hook! I could probably still beat anyone's ass hard at any of them.

Okay obviously you understand that movies into games usually don't work. Don't you realize it's vice versa? games into movies is a big nono.
